Definition
(n.) the reason for which humans and other animals initiate, continue, or terminate a behavior at a given time. If the agent’s goal is an external reward different from the activity itself, such as money, awards, prestige, social status, food, etc, we have extrinsic motivation // if the activity happens just becaue it is inherently enjoyable (doing it just for the sake of it), we have intrinsic motivation.
